The Ukraine's Strike on the Bridge
I look at this as the Ukrainians, among other things, just making a statement very loudly about their contempt for Russian naval control over this area. My assumption is that an operation like this took many weeks, if not months to plan and it's been likely in development for quite some time. It does also have the added benefit of significantly increasing the pressure on the regime. This is embarrassing for Putin. He has put so much of his credibility into building this bridge, obviously occupying Crimea and annexing it illegally... To have it be struck for a second time after assuring everyone that this would not be repeated? I'm sure that irritating Putin has people in key of smiling.
