The Weight of Glory
Louis sees in Jack something of a kindred spirit, and he's got a rather condescending manner. He comments that everyone else on the bus, he doesn't think they're going to enjoy where they're going. But I love that Louis, the Louis character, responds. Do they like this place? Because that's a fair question. And the poet's response is, well, as much as they're like anything else. It reminded me of something that Louis wrote in The Weight of Glory - our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We'll find out more about him in the next chapter.
