The Problem With Hitting Satellites

It is hard to hide satellites especially the large ones but for small satellites there are things called cube sets that are 10 centimeters per side and these things are much harder to see so it's much harder to track. All of these major space players will face in the event of a conflict between each other each side knows that the other's satellites will provide them huge vultures on the battlefield, surveillance communications and even potential first strike capabilities. Shooting at a handful of satellites with missiles could be an exponential amount of debris in the orbit how likely do you actually think it is that any of these big three players would use their anti-satellite missiles?
