What's Happened to the Aircraft?
Investigators found that some of the recovered pieces had distinct evidence of fire damage. Fire markings were fairly uniform over material from the fuselage, mail and cabin material. Each charred piece had a definite water line where the charring stopped. If so, you can see that it was on fire, wouldn't it?
