The Donkey in the EO
I very much see the donkey or donkeys in the EO. They're very similar to the donkeys that I've met all around the world. Thoughtful, calm, just that patience and beautiful disposition. We can't possibly know what that donkey thinks. So he dreams. He appears to have an emotional response, which is absolutely true for donkeys. It's often just more subtle. And what do you think the film says about the relationships between animals and humans? "It shows us our best and our worst, doesn't it?"
