How to Deal With Subdued Volatility

A lot of people will try to trade volatility itself, not realizing that volatility is more volatile than volatility would have you believe. I'd have to see a decisive break above 17.60 at some point this year for me to start using those or at least incorporating them in my strategies. But for the most part, as long as we stay under, until we can get back over 17.60, and that means decisively I like to see a weekly close back above that,. Then until that point, I'm only holding a shorter term positions, and that goes both ways.
