The Difference Between Staff Pastors and Non-Staff Elders

Pontiff: We'll vote on a new constitution in November and then hopefully be able to call and appoint some elders and deacons in January. Why do people tend to call your non-staff elders, elders and your staff elders pastors? And is that okay that we make that distinction? I wonder if it's because fewer churches have elders but pretty much all churches have pastors. Pontiff says he used to tell his elders, you know, what you should do is whatever you think I should be doing. "I mean theologically I think they're the same"
