The State of Montana's Climate Change Policy
The case has been nearly a decade in the making. No court in the world really has seriously questioned climate science, but we'll see if this is the first. The plaintiffs are seeking a declaration from the court that the policies and actions of Montana violate the state constitution. They're asking the court to require the state to come up with a plan to greatly reduce fossil fuel emissions.
