Introduction

After decades of effort, we may be on the cusp of having several safe and effective vaccines for RSV. The symptoms of RSV are often similar to the common cold, but in very small babies and in older adults, it can sometimes be pretty dangerous. Last fall, we had an especially bad RSV season because the COVID pandemic changed some of the patterns of seasonal viruses.
