Is There a Difference Between HBO and Network Television?
HBO had this idea in the early days that they were going to do things differently than network television. They used to have a code name for female nudity that they called a cable edge. So if you were writing a script for HBO, you might get very much resonated with 13 year olds around the world. It's in part why you had adult sitcoms where there was a lot of female nudity.
