In many ways, writers are also, in latin America, psychologists, and they are activists, but they are also entertainers. And i wanted to see if the same type of approach could be used to look at melville and emily dickinson and tee hawthern twain. What do those books say about the country, about the nation, and in what way is that concept a moving target?
