There are certain cultures around the world that seem to me to connect more to my autistic brain than, for instance, now and here in England. I think similarly in terms of periods of history, I was very drawn to things like Jane Austen because there's a kind of distance and a rules and a non-touching, slow pace that works for me as an autistic person.
