The Economic Impact of Border Controls on the Pandemic
Policy makers are rediscovering that different regimes don't have largely different effects on the ultimate numbers of cases. So only the very toughest border controls actually work. But there are big differences when it comes to the economic effects that those restrictions may cause, so these travel restrictions come with untold pain and disruption. And you've got to remember that, especially in poor countries, tourism and travel is a huge source of employment.
