Taking a Photo in Lightroom or Snap Seed?

When you take a photo and i go lock it, like old family photos that my mam took, or even photos i've taken of just like random stuff ovr the years, it's funny how we just default to putting everything right in the middle. I think things can be in the center. You correct me if i'm wrong, yes? But it, it doesn't feel wrong. It doesn't feel weird.
