Prayer Research and Distant Healing Research

It almost feels like there is a dehumanizing aspect in making ill people into a group who purposely do not receive prayers. Double blind randomized trials are considered the gold standard for research and establishing does this thing we're testing really have an effect or not. In parapsychology there are studies that are periodically done on prayer or other forms of or what's called distant healing. Some people may use this possibility as a justification for certain religious practices such as cursing offspring to the nth generation or the moment practice of baptism of the dead.
