The Role of Sugar in Cement
When we add sugar to cement, why does it... Why does this cement take so long to set with the sugar in it? Ah, so the sugar thing is related to the fact that cement has to go through a hydration process. So when you add some sugar into the cement, you're stopping an essential part of the process. And also, because it's not the regular chemicals, it turns out that you end up with a slightly weaker concrete,. but you can specifically add in sugar in four quantities to make it workable for a longer period of time. Now, concrete can end up in a whole range of grades from like a domestic later on a path that you're doing yourself
