Pollen and the Evolution of Life on Earth
What can we learn from pollen apart from the flowering plants go back 300 million years? Carlun Haramidjo is a pollenologist at the Smithsonian Institute in Panama. He's been working for over 30 years studying pollen. So what I'm learning is that pollen is not only literally very sexy but it also provides a window onto previous editions of life on earth. The versions with fewer or indeed no humans at all.
