The Phoenix: A Global Symbol

The Phoenix has global representation because it could be found in a number of different cultures around the world and throughout history. The way it looks in Chinese culture isn't exactly the same as it is in Persian culture or in Egyptian and Turkish. So how do you design a Phoenix that can represent all of those different cultures? And then generally what I do is rather than saying, oh, let's pick Slavic because they have less representation in the keyboard, which you could do. Instead,what I do is I just pick a little bit of each one.
