Getting a Job in a Rural Emergency Department
Bill has obviously had to grow his leadership skills and I was interested to see how he went about that. He has high self-awareness and a willingness to grow and evolve. To me this is the difference between being taught something and learning something. There are specific strategies that I've alluded to previously that I was taught things like pacing, leading and supposition. We would find the same retrieval medicine if we arrived at a rural emergency department with a very, very unwell patient. It's clearly beyond the capability of the hospital that they're currently and potentially the teen that's currently treating them because it's not what they do.
