The Killing of a Woman in Rancho Cordova
The victim had recently moved out to Rancho Cordova to live with her father, but at the time of the attack, her father was away on vacation. She told police that just after her father departed, she began to feel like she was being watched. Shortly after these creepy encounters began, she started receiving phone calls late at night. But when she answered, there was only ever silence on the other end. About four weeks into her father's absence, the person who had obviously been stalking the woman, finally made their move. At approximately 5 p.m. on June 17th, 1976, the wound stalker used the railroad tracks near the rear of her home to approach unseen.
