The Importance of Spiritual Ascension

Julian Huxley: I don't see the need to tie spirituality to evolution. You can be a traditional Buddhist or Christian and advance, you know, the thinking there in a completely valid kind of way. This was the point that Thomas Huxley, Alders and Julian's grandfather, made at the end of his life in a great essay called Evolution and Ethics. He said what evolves is not necessarily more moral. It's just what adapts and survives, according to genetic drift or just random mutations.
