Metacognition

The goal of meditation is not to improve metacognition, for instance. But there's going to be some effects in there somewhere. I just feel like we don't really have the tools to measure that on a nice, kind of nice quantitative basis and relate that to moment to moment changes in brain function. And I think there were maybe on the cusp of being able to do that.
