The Evolution of the Cactus Finch in the Galapagos
There was another species on the island at that called the cactus finch. But then there were occasional small ground finshes turning up on the island, and some thin lie. 12 years after we began our study, along came a large ground fish and established a breeding population. So we learnt an enormous amount. It turned out to be much more complex. That made that picture, that simple picture at the beginning, a very complicated the other.
