The Language of Surrender in 12-Step Recovery
Sobriety is a prerequisite to surrender. Surrender is the language actually used in 12-step recovery. It's a language of surrendering everything to the Lord. Living in recovery would be convertible with what we talk about when we talk about conversion. So it is like that balancing act I think for a lot of people is, okay, I need to do things to be sober, but the goal is that I live in conversion,.
