The Universe's Largest Structure

The number of galaxies in the universe is an estimate which keeps getting updated as more and better observations are made. 10% of the Hubble Space Telescope's observation time is devoted to what is known as Director's Discretion. It takes a sun about 250 million years to complete an orbit around the center of the galaxy. And this period of time is known as a galactic year or a cosmic year. Our galaxy, like most galaxies, has a supermassive black hole in its center.
