The Arab Spring died a painful death, but also we saw the limits of what you can do with an app. And now we realize that the whole thing kind of got bogged down in Syria. We know based on the work of the CIA and the FBI that the Russians used it to great effect in 2016. I think people are beginning to realize whenever we invent a new tool, there's always this euphoria.
