How to Avoid Corruption in Posgus
The places created a few years ago probably don't have check sums enabled and I think still posgus itself has default off. They protect not only from hardware issues for example When data is corrupted and data check sums says okay, I expected to read something But I see this page has something else so we have corruption. It also protects from from particular maybe not like very likely but some bugs in posgUS itself or In file system itself because check summing at higher level feels safer to me.
