Each librarian responds to like a different catalog they're called. The way that Hawkins has set it up is that Father is God, right? He knows everything about all the catalogs. It's just like this deep arcane knowledge of the universe that Father knows all of and then each of the 12 kids is allowed to know like a slice of because- And the thing that they are the most like prohibited from doing is learning
