What's the Difference Between Storytelling and Prediction?
As a researcher, I use data to confuse people or to get people to ask questions. And in those cases, it's not about telling a specific story but maybe encouraging people to question whether there is a single interpretation. So that was a project I did with another student at the University of Colorado, Michaela Frisky. We collected data about our own lives and we kind of made data representations of those. The goal was actually to have them be kind of confusing because we exchanged them with each other without much guidance.
