How Did You Get Started With Goldmine?
John Defterios: I think that we all sort of separate from our fathers when we want to be different. He worked his way through college at a computer store selling computers, and he was pretty dang good at it. At 29 years old, he quit his job and started Goldmine with a college buddy of mine. We grew that company on $5,000 investment never took a dime of venture or any bank loans into a company that after 10 years, we were doing about $70 million in revenue a year. Some people say we pioneered what we know of today as CRM.
