Using the Phone as a Side Car Control Panel

By default, small tool palet is basically the thesolution we've landed on. For example, maybe you press two fingers and you get a secondary option. One idea that i'm excited about is using the phone as a sort of side car control panel. What if you could just put it on your desk and then your phone becomes your palet?
