What Is Money?
The price signals that propagate through money are what coordinate most human action in the world. It's more important than spoken language in my estimation. Actions speak louder than words, obviously. But you know what speaks even louder than actions is capital at risk because how many actions does it take to accumulate your investment nest egg or your slug of capital? And then you need to invest that capital and hopefully to a productive end. The Federal Reserve prints $6 trillion. No new factories, no new knowledge, no new equipment, just paper claims on all the existing stuff. That's all that's happened.
