The Importance of Population Density
Bihar received so little from the union that it was forced to tax its citizens at the state level in contrast Bihar got 31% of its GSDP a central transfers for the same period. The most prosperous parts of any country are the cities which have the greatest population density. Poor people have more children and as you grow up the ladder of prosperity you simply have less children.
India is run in a top-down way with a Northern bias -- and this is a problem.
