Is this a golden age of conspiracy theories? I don't know. Maybe i just know it's never been easier to propagate lies. And i gess the other thing i would say is, if you survey the history of mass media technologies, going back to radio and t v, you always see an explosion in paganda. This is true in europe. It's true here, of propaganda, often ultra right wing propaganda. These technologies definitely change us on some level. Yes, i think chicken and the egg is like an unsatisfying but probably good way to think about it.
