There was a big Chinese takeaway boom in the UK after the war. A lot of fish and chips shops used to be Jewish owned, so they would double up. So there would be egg fried rice and noodles, but with like fish and fried chips. I guess it was very much like an Anglo Cantonese fae. That's what you would get. You kind of love it or you hate it and- Or both simultaneously.
