If it turns out that you're the person in the wrong just be upfront about that. Be honest with people and if you need to put on apology put on that apology. If there's a tension the first thing i go is okay what did i do to allow that to happen? And try and see it from that perspective like Stephen Koven said, seek to understand before you before being understood.
