The Role of the Airway Expert in Anesthesia
Jen, we have a system here and I'm sure other hospitals have a similar system of emergency airway response. We call it the Dart team, which stands for Difficult Airway Response Team. And when one calls a dart, you get both otolaryngology and anesthesia trauma surgery. What do you see your role there as and what do you recommend in terms of kind of the teamwork that maximizes the benefit and the success of a dart call? Jen: The goal is to get the airway experts there.
