Convenience removes a forcing function that in some cases could force you to become a better version of yourself if you were to harness it correctly. I think it is more enjoyable and fulfilling to do a lot of things that convenience wants to, the convenience tends towards wiping out and smoothing out. It's just sort of more fun to end up having to go meet someone in person just because it would have been possible to talk online. But when you get there a little bit more frequently, it lends a really sort of precious feeling to life.
