The Path of Self Sacrifice Is the Path to Glory
There is no length to which Christ's self sacrifice did not lead him. God took such thought for us that he made no account of himself into the immeasurable calm of the divine blessedness, says Pope Francis. To love like this in this way is a call to reckless abandon and I think we don't hear this beckoning call of the other side of the pendulum very often. And so while we are not Jesus, we are called to be like him.
