Israel's God was not known beforehand as Yahweh, which in English Bibles mean is the Lord. The name has been used all over the place prior to this story ever since Genesis chapter two. Part of what we're doing here in this podcast is looking at little things that have inspired thinkers and careful readers of these texts.
