Is There a Need for a Kidney Ultrasound?

For patients who have a QK injury, they should absolutely all be getting renal ultrasound probably as quickly as possible. Primarily we're looking for obstruction and hydroenterphrosis. Usually we can take care of that with an in and out catheter. I personally like to get ultrasounds on patients with real AKI. But I think that's rarely the diagnosis.
