Hesiod doesn't mention it he spends a lot of time talking about her creation but the first time he ever mentions the jar full of horrors is right here when Pandora has it and she opens it up. Edith wondered if you had seen an etching of Epimetheus opening Pandora's Box which I think is held in New York at the Metropolitan Museum by Giulio Bonasoni. The one constant in every version of this story where the jar is mentioned is that hope is left behind.
