KZG ceremony team or group that was working on it put a lot of emphasis on creating multiple implementations. This enables more people to easily understand what's happening, which I think is important in a proof of stake or in a consensus protocol. We really want people to sort of find their own path a little bit here and ideally have as many different clients implementing the software as possible. It sounds so directly inspired by just the way that like the POS, the Mer, like all of that had happened where there was multiple client teams building off a spec, sharing knowledge.
