The Long Island Press' Exposition on Megan's Case

Megan was reported missing to the Suffolk County police on June 8th only two days after she disappeared. Her case has rarely made the news, like most missing persons' cases involving prostitutes, it's hardly gotten any attention at all. Since the police weren't doing much at all, Megan's family took the investigation into their own hands. They passed out hundreds of missing person flyers with Megan's Craigslist photo on them and helped set up a whole website for Megan. Later, they connected with an international human rights group called Avaz, which hired two additional PIs that specialized in sex trafficking.
