Shunting Across the Atrial Septal Defect?

A QPQS, which we get all very excited about, is a moving target in the natural history of this disease. There's really two things that determine your degree of shunting. One is the size of the defect and then secondly is the compliance of the two ventricles. As they got older, the left-sided compliance got less; therefore, their pressure got higher. And they started shunting more. So with that, let's take a breather and head on over to the coroner's ACHD clinic and put all these great pearls and tips and tricks into action.
