Michael Bargo's Death Sentence
Michael Bargo was convicted of first-degree murder in 2013 and became the youngest person on Florida's death row. His lawyers appealed his death sentence, arguing that the judge made errors during the sentencing phase of the trial. In 2016, the Florida Supreme Court overturned Michael's death sentence and ordered a new sentencing hearing. The jury ultimately recommended the death penalty once again, and the judge agreed to reinstate his death sentence. While Michael remains on death row, his case is still in the appeals process and may take several more years before a final decision is made.
