Is There a Direct Effect of Parental Alcoholism on Substance Use?

Parental alcoholism is a risk factor for adolescent alcohol use. The mediator is, well, why? Why are they at risk? Is it a biological propensity to drink? Is it as simple as being availability? If you're an alcoholic, you keep alcohol in the house. And so you have this direct effect of p alcoholism on substance use. I know rigthat is mediation. There you go. E squible. That is brilliant.
