The Criticism of the Culture Industry
The culture industry has reduced our language just like it aduses our ability to imagine. The capitalistic system still tends to just take everything that is thrown out of it and turn it into an image of itself. And so you could sort of become worldly by exposing yourself merely to the people in the next town. It's just the dominant forces in our culture make it difficult to think outside the box.
