Green New Deal - Is That Something Cool?

i think it's bizarre that there is an entire cottage industry devoted to trying to message properly, when what we actually need is a material change. There are more and less useful ways to talk about the climate crisis. It seems weird to take this thing that is fundamentally terrifying and tell people to stop yelling about it. I don't think that being unnecessarily catastrophic about things is a solution to anything. And i think changing how we talk about these things is not going to be the defining factor. No amount of screaming that is too much about this issue.
