What's the Difference Between a Goat and a Dead Goat?

In other episodes in Leviticus, the worshiper puts only one hand on the head of the goat. And then finally in those other instances, the goat is not sent away alive, it's slain. So there's an actual physical removal of the guilt and the sin that's been confessed as opposed to a death in place of what we're seeing.
